Guilty. I haven't followed the trial that closely, but, from what I've seen and read, guilty. Carbon, some bad folks are born that way, while many are a product of abusive families, neighbors, uncles, or whatever. Just as children of violence often are violent themselves as adults, and children of alcoholics often become alcoholic, or marry one. Some bad people come from normal households, and are chemically or emotionally unstable, resulting in bad acts. Equally, many who are abused, while scarred, do not follow the path they were shown, they instead break from that pattern and lead relatively normal lives, often only after they repress the memory of what happened to them, or go through years of therapy to deal with the situation. As a side note, my lovely wife, who studied, chased, caught and helped prosecute child molestors for a dozen years thinks he's guilty as hell, but severely damaged by his upbringing and the obvious abuse he suffered at the hands of his father. Unfortunately, his defense can't, or won't, bring that into this trial. DM
I think he has committed some crimes in the past, but on this one, after having heard the testimony and cross-x of the "victim" and his family, I really think this is a set up and the DA is using it to punish MJ for his previous acts. I think he is a wacko of unbelievable proportions but that doesn't make him guilty. If I think a chester is guilty, I'd say chop his **** off and throw him in a tank full of sharks. I just think that there is reasonable doubt as to his guilt.
this time I think he is innocent...I think the mother should be charged with Child Endangerment for putting her child in the position where he could be molested. I think he did it but is innocent by virtue of being set up.
Westworld I wasn't trying to infer he was a billionaire; just other people w/ the pressures of massive "wealth and fame" don't necessarily have personal "issues" that lead them to criminal court.
Is Vegas rolling an odds on this?? I mostly agree with Carbon. You can't say EVERY SITUATION is going to be because of bad up bringing, but i would dare to say most are. I wouldn't flame Carbon for his opinion either, he sounds like a guy that is trying to figure out WHY someone did something then to just CONDEMN them for doing it. I am the same way, figuring out the 'whys and whats' behind certain vial actions is the first step to learning how to prevent it. But those two sides will never see eye to eye. You will always have your 'black and white' type of thinkers and your 'grey' thinkers.
