Well...the next Summer Olympics are still 3 years away, so as they said on the news tonight, most people will probably not give a crap by then.
Someone cashed in on that pic. Hey, do anything you want as long as you're willing to pay the price. In this case the price will be in the millions in lossed endorsement revenue etc. Hope he's hired a good PR guy to get him back on track. If he's had a DUI the guy is obviously a little weak when it comes to substances so getting caught like this could have prevented him from getting in deeper. Not the end of the world but it is a matter of how he chooses to handle things moving forward in his life.
ha...most of America is mind altered on some expensive prescription from our f-ed up health care system = the pill popper generation. Let parents deal with marijuana and alcohol so police can fight CRIME - what a concept!! Maybe they could start with Wall Street! ps...I always did think his big breakfast was just a bad case of the munchies
I agree. It's funny that when someone attempts to create the situation they're into something else by "fibbing"; everyone says "why didn't he just tell the truth?" Then when someone actually tells the truth. He get's blasted? It's the same old, commercially driven, stereotype that weed smokers are lazy, steal, contribute nothing positive to society, and it leads to harder drugs. It's a bunch of horse crap. Exactly. How many millions (billions?) are wasted every year against this? We've got a lot bigger issues to worry about than someone smoking weed.
So says you. That's such a lame argument for this topic. What about other drugs? What about alcohol? "Only" weed should be decriminalized? Weak argument.
Actually, a better argument would be to criminalize alcohol, but alcohol is accepted in society especially by drunk politicians. Do you think the cotton farmers are still threatened by the superior properties of the hemp plant? Happened so long ago people have forgotten and only myths remain.
That's basically it, in a nut shell. Phelps stuffed millions and millions of dollars into a bong and lit them up in smoke.
Ha, I "heard" of people on our College swim team that could take 1 minute plus hits without a breath.
Why has no one questioned why he went to a house party with a watch like that one? Look at it, pretty intense. Is that bong a collectors item now? Big bucks there...
+1 I rate this kind of thing up there with "outing" someone. Totally uncool and really no ones business unless Phelps was doing "Don't do drugs" ads.
WHO CARES...... it's his life and he can do with it what he wants and by what he's accomplished is more then what 99% of the population has, let him smoke his weed bang the hottest chicks and spend his cash anyway he wants he's worked hard enough to be able to....
Did he admit to it being pot? (even though it sure looks like he did) I still respect him for being so open about it and apologizing.
It may just be a fluted bezel and not iced out, a flash and some movement can make it appear that way... -dsd
+1 Those swimmers could take some huge hits. I saw a future gold medel winner doing that in 1972 with a 3' tall bong. One of those team members is now a highly regarded coach at a big state school.
Other drugs? Hell no! Literally the only thing that weed and crack/meth/heroin have in common is that they are illegal. And considering alcohol... between the two you have two drugs. One of which: Takes a couple weeks of chemical processes to produce Causes people to become much more aggressive, leading to drastically increased instances of rape and/or violence Causes people to lose inhibitions/control, leading to simply idiotic behaviour Causes people to also lose control over motor function Is addictive And another that: Grows as a naturally occurring plant Is not addictive (except in rare cases... but that's due to a non-chemical addiction, like an addiction to food) Has medicinal value Whose only negative side effects are lethargy and hunger Keep in mind that I do drink and I don't necessarily smoke weed, I'm just so confused as to how the DEA spends $985billion (!) annually and so much of that goes to the 'War on Drugs' when in fact weed should be legalized and taxed for profit to the government.
