Michael to test again . . . hope he tops the charts this time too! http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/64084 Carol
Sounds like they're trying to get Kimi nervous. I remember reading somewhere that Kimi didn't want to be involved with developing the car. Maybe they're trying to change his mind.
No he dosnt.....Have you ever been nervous when your drunk Mike testing again hmmmm I wonder what will happen after the testing is done.....Im telling you that this guy misses racing big time. He is 38 years old. He has all the money in the world but there are some things that money just cant buy and one of them is the thrill of racing(not testing) in an F1 car. Can you imagine retiring at 37 from what you did and loved all of your life. Ill bet he has had this thought run through his mind..."What happens if when im 45 I wish I was still out there? Maybe I shoud be out there now". The main reason I think he left is because he was getting borred and that contributed to his slowing down a bit. Now the fire is building again. Lets see if it gets really hot
Im sure he has had thousand of those thoughts several times over. The urge maybe there for him, yes..but realisticly that is not all there is to racing, you have interviews, meetings, testings and several other adjenda's to allow for..he stated he was concentrating on his family and returning to the sport could 'break' him ..nah..i think he is a better man than that ..i dont see him returning to competitive racing.
They say its best to retire when your on top. However if he is restless and can still play the game competitively , why not ? And besides who cares what "they" say, its not their life. Kimi may be letting me down again. He may be lazy.
I wish he would come back and win one more championship, and also let these young guys know how to do a press interview. What is the word, charisma.
although I´d LOVE to see him racing again in Ferrari I dont think is going to happen...maybe the itchi-issue is that he didnt retire as a reigning champion... but then again...HE WAS the reigning champion, whether he won more points or not ...he was the "people´s king" I miss him terribly
Maybe F are thinking that we're paying this guy to just show up every once and a while so let's put him to work?
it would be cool to see him return for few more years but same time it would be worse if he gets hurt in the car. If he does return I would like to see him some german car and win a championship.
Mike could miss another season and come back and race in 2009 and still win races. Like I said, as each test passes he is that much closer to coming back. This may sound a little crude but as much as he may love his family he still loves racing as much or more on a slightly different level of course. Dont count him out yet. Meanwhile, Williams' Sam Michael explained that Schumacher's Barcelona return indicates that the 38-year-old could easily return as a highly competitive Grand Prix racer. "Bloody hell. That was impressive what he did at Barcelona. It was incredible," the Australian said. "I'm surprised he doesn't come back to be honest. If he seriously got into a top car for next year he could win the world championship again. "But I think he has made his decision (to retire) and he wants to stick by it," Michael added.
