Beautiful car it is, but not my type, I'm going to wait for the green Zonda . But thanks for looking out for me Dave. Hey how did the carcoon work out?
It didn't work out well at all because the damn power unit is for UK-spec electrical! It's like 220 or something. It's different than the standard European 220-volt, so I can't use a transformer. I PMed the guy who got it for me in the UK... waiting for a response. The Carcoon is manufactured in the UK; the American importer in Texas was sold out for months, so I contacted a UK guy here on F-Chat for the product, and he got it to me fairly quickly. So I'm waiting to see if I can trade this power unit back for a US-spec unit.
I'm no electrician, but most motors can be stepped down from 220 to 110. They just don't run as efficiently. And if I'm not mistake, European AC is 50 cyles/sec as opposed to our 60. Their motors should run faster, hotter, but still perform ok on our current I would think. Or is it simply I shouldn't think?
how about this? i think you've already seen it michael http://fmsocal.ultrafancy.net/~fmsocal/vehicle.php?picid=311
I'm not particular to green cars it just happened to be the one I found, I do like the color, but I like alot of colors on cars. After Noahs response I'm almost embarrased to say, I REALLY like that one. Not the interior but definatley the green exterior.
right. and they also had this silver modena with a sunroof and green interior too. i guess its something with ppl in CT
On the subject of green F-cars there was a green 355 spyder at the concours/612 unveiling in Manhasset. Mike's car is metallic but this one was not a metallic color. Anybody see it? And does anyone know the name of the color? The owner didn't know.
Yes, it was unusual for a Ferrari but very attractive. I had a Benz wagon that was very similar in color. Lots of people puked when they saw it but there were more who really liked it, as we did.
Here's another example of "MERDAV Green" in a GTS version... ASD just sold it. http://www.autosportdesigns.com/Sales/photopage.asp?ID=844
