Thanks to FChat Member ferralc I recently placed an order with the Tire Rack as follows: 285/35ZR-18 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S XL 2 In Stock $303.00 $606.00 Includes Free Road Hazard Protection ($46.94 value. Two-year coverage.) $0.00 225/40ZR-18 MICHELIN PILOT SPORT 4S XL 2 In Stock $203.99 $407.98 Includes Free Road Hazard Protection ($31.60 value. Two-year coverage.) $0.00 Despite these NOT being OEM sized, they fit fine and I don't have rolled fenders!
Can you upload a few photos of the tires mounted? Next year I will need to replace the Bridgestones on my 360 Spider and was seriously considering Continental Extreme Contacts 225/45x18 and 285/40x18. But, I also like the Michelins. I'd especially like to see the rear 285/35 tires and how they look in the fender wheels. Much appreciated if you could include photos.
Glad you liked them Best thing is you don’t have ABS issues with that combo Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have just changed from Pirelli to the Mich 4S on my 430-unbelievable difference. I'll be fitting the Mich on other performance cars going forward. Quieter and better performing tire IME Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s really great news to find sizes that fit in modern, state of the art rubber. The front OEM sizes in particular are increasingly harder to find in top tier tires. What other performance cars fit 215/45-18s? Modern tires that fit without rubbing and don’t throw off the ASR. Miracle. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
Photos are much appreciated. I also have the Modular wheels and I think the tires look great. You helped me make a decision.
A follow up question. I have the stock sized Bridgestone S02A on the car now and my speedometer reads about 5 mph faster at 60 mph. I understand that a taller rear tire might help reduce this situation. I will have to compare the measurements of these Michelins to my Bridgestones but just thought I would ask if you noticed any speedometer differences going to a 35 series rear tire?
The margin of error will be around the same, so for example here I was traveling at around 175mph and I still have 300rpms left to reach the max speed of 181.5mph (according to the manual) Image Unavailable, Please Login Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How on earth did you take that picture with one hand on the wheel and one on your phone while going 175?!
I am really waiting to hear the answer to the question above. Very cool if you can do it. (I think). In Illinois it is illegal to Text and Drive but I have not heard anything about taking Photographs.
I just took a picture for a moment and threw the phone on the passenger seat, did not realize the speed until I slow down and looked at the picture (glad it didn’t show out of focus), I don’t look at gauges when I am going too fast. By the way the car had the top down. Incredibly stable, no issues. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well even if you CAN do it, it is not exactly very smart to take pictures while going fast . I did it once and it came nice and I have no intentions to try it again. And because it happened in Mexico (wink wink) I actually did not break any law in the US!! (Wink wink) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
now I really know my Spider should do 175mph. Sounds like the Michelin sizes do not solve my speedometer issue but I'd rather live with that and have a great set of tires. thanks and again, cool photos too
I am pretty sure it can hit 180+ (my guess is 185 will be the top) the car had 300rpms left and was still pulling. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
The tires’ overall diameter is what affects the speedometer, not necessarily the aspect ratio. The P4S tires in these sizes are very close to the OEM overall diameter, and very slightly smaller, so if you’re reading 5% faster than you’re really going, expect that to be a small bit more, like maybe 6% more than actual, because the tires will turning more revolutions per mile. Interesting. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the 360 cannot make its top speed at around that number because the outside mirrors create turbulence that affects air flow to the intakes in the fenders, reducing the engine’s ability to make full power. This was the reason the mirrors are different on the Challenge Stradale. But I can’t find the article that said that. Sent from my iPad using FerrariChat
Remember that top speed has to be an average of two tops speeds going in different directions to eliminate the wind factor and in a level road. But in real life you could “help” the car with a bit of an incline. (As long as the car does not go over the red line you are good) But as I said in my case the top was down so with the top up there will be way less resistance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I also have them. Probably the best street tyres on the market right now, I love them. Amazing performance - on my opinion identical to the PS Cup 2 , but much more durable. Image Unavailable, Please Login
