Next most severe? Indy T13 didn't break open any Honda engines. Eau Rouge has at least three japanese flags on its cockpit combing.

If a tiny bank put too much stress on Michelins, then Spa will pop them for sure.

Very true statement should similar a situation occur. Hmmmm, let's see - already have 550 Eur in race tickets; 1267 USD in 2 airline tickets to Brussels, hotel room at Sheraton airport, hotel room in Bastogne, car rental - I think we've committed a fair amount to F1 thus far for this race, so my hope is that there's a full grid coming past us at Pouhon on Sunday. At least there's quite a bit to do in the area if one ends up in tourist mode.

Doing a transatlantic flight I can only justify/endure by combining F1 with other travel anyway. Not in a million years would I do 2x9 hours of flight and thousands of $$$ for just one GP. And I love the stuff.

As far as Michelin goes: I'm quite sure the crisis is over. F1 is a fast business to react and I don't think we'll ever see a repeat of the Indy situation. And a Michelin driver will clinch the title eventually.

A little off topic maybe, But I heard/read at Indy that the tires are supposed to be designed to last 217 miles.....

I heard that a Ferrari fan pissed in the vat when Michelin was making up its batch of tyres...Ferrari industrial sabotage, no doubt!
