Michelin Sports look narrow on 360

The original Bridgestone Potenza S-02A's on my 360 were recently replaced with Michelin Pilot Sports of the same sizes. I was surprised to see that the fronts look about 1 size narrower than before. Indeed, the TireRack site shows that the Potenza section width is 8.6" but the Pilot Sport is only 8.1". That's 0.5" less or equivalent to a 205 width! They definitely look like the wrong size.
