I found out that Tire Rack does not carry the 220/55 r390's anymore. Coker now sells them for less than before @$356 per. I also called discounttire.com and they quoted $336. Avon/Cooper also sells the 390's. These tires can be special ordered by some tire places. I've searched the forum here and really can't find any alternatives for 308 wheels that look right other than HRE and Compomotive. If I were to get these wheels in 16" what else do I need to know about fitment? Where do I get them? I've searched all over but found only the Compomotives at usacomp.com. If anyone can provide more info on the subject it would help.

I can't speak to the HRE's or Compomotives. But there are also the Superperformance 16" wheels for 308's that are visually almost (not quite) identical to OEM 308 QV 16's. They weigh a few pounds more apiece, as they are aluminum instead of magnesium. There are threads about them on the site. I have a set on my 77 308, and am happy with them.

The Superperformance 16" would be fine except for the exchange rate. I'll have to wait for a better rate or for someone to crash their QV.
