    Hi,

As the spring is almost upon us, I´ll have to decide about the tires for my Longchamp. Currently I´m running a leathal set of Pirelli P5´s that have to be replaced for the next season. Micheliln XWX is the original tire, but not that cheap, while Pirelli P4000 has a period looking pattern and a lot more affordable. Anyone with experience regarding these tires?

I have Pirelli P4000 tires mounted on my 1970 Jaguar E-type FHC.
They handle great compared to the skinnier tubed tires they replaced.

I also had to upgrade my wire wheels to Daytons to get rid of the inner tubes and go with a modern radial tire.
the new Dayton wheels are slightly wider than the stock wire wheels.

Anyway, I can't offer any comparison to the Michelins but I can say that my Jag drives great on the Pirellis.
