I'm sure GM wants to make sure you have a place to put your two sets of golf clubs, whether they go in the frunk or in the trunk behind the engine. Or perhaps you can place the roof in a storage compartment behind the engine and the front is the trunk. Either way, the car does look really long...

I'll bet that the wheelbase comes-in under that of the new Ford GT ... even with 2 extra cylinders in the motor.

The Ford GT is also YUGE!

The wheels look small in that photo in the snow because the car is a lot longer. Look at these overhangs.

Not a fan of big. Not a fan of long. Not a fan of overhangs.

"Sense of proportion" is something sorely lacking, lately, among most of the manufacturers. It's one (of many) things that Lambo got very, very right in the Huracan.

I think it's just the opposite. The from overhang of the Huracán is enormous, what makes it have a strange effect of long hood, just what is supposed not to find in a mid-engined Lambo.

Some suggesting the picture is distorted slightly - it does look a little long in these pics...

The image does look stretched compared to other spy shots of the profile. It's also possible there's some sort of padding/camo adding length and bulk.

Mmmm... the ratio of the size of wheels to the length indicate this is no "small car". That's not camera distortion.

Ah man. You just had to dis the car I loved and THOUGHT about re-enlisting for. I still think that those GTA's are sexy. As for the new C8, nope.

Perhaps it's just the angle, but, again, it looks like the rear overhang in this photo from GMAUTHORITY (and it's one of several examples) seems shorter and/or less bulky, and the car, overall, less stretched-out than it does in the recent photo, above (the one with it next to the red SUV-thing).

The reason why is very clear. This is not a straight side view. Its from the front. If you look at the overhead shot with the two people standing next, GM has done a pretty clever trick to try to make the rear overhang look less. The rear is highly curved outward. When seen directly from the side view the rear overhang looks huge. When viewed at a slight angle you can't see it as much.

Again, the camo tape doing it's job. The snowy picture car's camo is 2 toned and it makes the rear overhang look really long.

In a 1980's sort of way.

It is also a YUGE car. If you ever get next to one you realize just how big it is. And it probably has the worst interior ever put in a sports car.

The C8 may be one of those cars that looks much better in person than in photos. We won't know until the camo comes off but so far, it's pretty generic GT sports car to me. It looks like 10 people had their hand on it instead of one vision.

You have to give the Italians credit for most of their designs. Normally it looks like one person did the design so there's a kind of constant design statement. A lot of American cars look like someone did the front, someone did the side, someone did the back, someone did the interior, someone did the graphics, etc.

So far I see so much copying of Ferrari and Lambo on this car its hard to say it has its own statement.
