i dont mind eatting in jersey but if the crew is going to the bear mountain car show, i think im just going to head back to the city after CC or dinner.
there aren't many $10,000 cars there nor trucks. I've seen lots of vipers, ferrari's, bentley's, aston martins, 5 second ethanol dragsters etc, If its not to your liking we can drive straight in and out, but its a good way to kill an hour before dinner. The roads are fun too if your following the right car.
yeah...bear mountain is a nice run. we'll see what the consensus is at CC. I guess Ill make my decision then. see u there at cc
Leave CC at 5:30ish? OK, Rush hour crawl up the tpk. On the bright side.....less chance of speeding tickets.
Sorry I could not join you guys. My dad was supposed to drop my cousins off at the airport but he was very tired so I didnt want him to do it.. Where did u guys head to post CC?
I am starting to worry about you guys. wondering if i really should get a F-car and join the "fellowship"
we had a nice dinner at the jersey shore in Perth Amboy (in Lupe's hood) and then had drinks at the W hotel on 49th and Lex. Noah, Vik, and pchop met us there (us being Me, John C., Emil, & Kerry). 3 ferraris parked in front of the spot too great time!
And then it was back to work. Yes, that's right. Work, drink, and then more work. Welcome to my world.
After a hideous, shall we say, "Delay of Game" caused by NYC Tunnel traffic, we got to Classic shortly before the brief afternoon rain. Me, Keri, John Chen and Hubert met up with Sam, Clyde, Julianna (did I spell that right?) and Lupe. We saw the usual array of vehicular eye candy and each of us got to spend some time in "confession" with Mayur (Noah, your 360 will be fine) -- but in an intereting turn of events: Frank, the man himself, came out to inspect Lupe's light problem. While standing over the "Soul of the New Machine", he let us in on an ancient Italian engine detailing secret passed down from generation to generation of craftsmen and artisans. The picture will not reveal this secret, but, if you PM me, I may be persuaded to share... A quick jaunt to Perth Amboy -- John's innaugural run in his light silver 360 -- and a good dinner at the shore across from Staten Island capped the evening... ...or did it. Wow, all I know is that Emil offered me a ride to Classic Coach and I thought, ok, a nice quiet afternoon... but little did I know, Emil, being the creative guy he is, spinned a simple ride to CC into a major meet/drive! Thank you Hubert for driving me from my place to Emils. Yes, I'm lazy! Thank you Emil for giving me some driving tips on the way back from CC. Thanks Sam, Clyde, Kerri, Juliana, Lupe for stopping by at CC and for Vik, John, Noah for swinging by the W. Great fun, I love the support and comadarie that this Tri-State Region has for each other! Frank of CC, that ancient Italian secret to car restoration is unbelieveable. Ordering some today!
But don't forget, the retail version does *NOT* come with the ancient Italian incantation needed to install the magic sparkle. The incantation, if not whispered standing before the mighty Ferrari heart with a cup of Espresso or Chianti at hand, will not last. It will merely revert from shimmering chariot back into a daily beater within the hour. So I hope you remembered those sacred words Frank uttered as he worked his magic. Those that ended with "....only the first time is free." lol
Sorry I missed the guy's. I was ready to leave the house and fire up the TR, even with the rain in sight, but got pulled in to a conf call from work. Next time I will try to join the run.
Oh...by the way Lupe...on the way back when u were leading us to the Turnpike after dinner, your back right light (the very far right one)...I saw it light up sometimes only half way again. u might want to check that connection too.
