    Objectively:
    I would imagine it is cheaper, with easier to aquire parts. Maybe(?) more robust.

    That said, I feel the gearing most likely is wider and will kill performance.

    I dont understand it.

    Jeff -- Have you compared SPC illustrations, component PNs, etc? Might not give you a definite answer, but if they're very, very dissimiliar that would be a clue it's a tough one IMO.
