I can't make it since I have neither ride available. If anybody on here goes, please take lots of neat pictures. I'd love to have a good shot for the 2007 calendar. And we want to see them on here anyway. This being Chicago there is a good chance for the weather to clear. Keeping my fingers crossed as this is a really nice event.
Thanks again to Mike and his family for hosting this event. Despite the rain, "the cars will not melt", a great time was had. Models new and old were brought out to display in a wonderful setting. The food was great the company fun and Mario played the music.
Mike as always was a gracious host, always a great time. Attendance was down to about 25 cars compared to probably an average of 50 examples. One that caught my eye was a 308 with wide body racing steel flairs. Somewhat like a 288 GTO model. Talked to owner, from Milwaukee, who stated it came stock from factory as a racer. Pics will be coming. Three casalties, a 250 blew a head gasket - ouch, Mike's new toy wouldn't start (72 Pantera), and I discovered a broken front shock and had to limp home. Gee Andreas and we thought I only had rear suspension problems, wonder if the drag racing earlier in the week caused it?
I think I've seen that car around some shows here. Sorry about your car troubles. Now you got an excuse to replace all four shocks.
Seen at LFSC Concours in April 04. Not my cup of tea I have to say. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The late Drummer from local Rock band, 'Styx', Johnny Panozzo, had a white 308 with a similiar grill on it. And I think that the bumper was gone, too. The grill may have been chromed though, if memory serves me right.....?
That wide body 308 belong to the GT motor sport shop owner up here in Pewaukee. I believe his name is Mike.

Nope. Alan. GT is correct though. Owns GT Motorsports and does cheap (but good) work on Ferraris, Lambos, etc.
I hung out with Alan a bunch tonight downtown. Owner of the wide 308. He was advising me on the Countach for auction. I registered to bid on it. Had the green light from the wife to go to $50,000. Sold for $62. My other friend was bidding on it and was one of the last two. I think the guy that "won" was a friend of the owner who had NO intention of selling it as advertised...... Glad I didn't bid. Glad my friend didn't win either. Thanks Alan for that.... Where the heck where you?? I also sat on the lawn at turn 5. So did my car (black 328). I was wearing a green polo and shorts. My wife was in a red tshirt with "Ferrari" across the front in yellow... Another friend's yellow 355 was there. And a friend's blue Viper GTS. And a friend's black 430. Did you see any of us???
You talkin to me? Remember I was at BRIC with a friend of mine who's driving a CanAm car. So I spend only so much time at turn 5 and the Ferrari folks. Did see the wide 308 and the black 430.
Hey Bill where my hat from your event? You should have brought it and given it to one of the Chicago guys? You still owe me. Come on down to the event next Sunday, it should be a great turnout!
I brought it to the BRIC assuming you would be there. I didn't see any of the Chicago guys either. I was looking for Frank or Andreas. Didn't see anyone other than guys I already knew......and no one from Chicago.
Yeah. I looked for you by the Can Ams. You know how many stinkin' orange Can Ams there were there?? Wow......
Yea I would have loved to go and wanted too but spending time studying for a certificationexam coming up. However, I'll sneak away for next Sunday's event.
