Same. Yes, she apparently took her father’s company email list when she jumped ship. Poor form all around.
I got it but filed it away. I bought a car from her dad many years ago, perfectly fine experience, and if she had a car I was interested in, I wouldn't hesitate to reach out. Sorry, just business as far as I am concerned. Their drama, while unfortunate, isn't my issue.
Which is why I’m very fond of the phrase, “not my circus, not my monkeys.” That said, she doesn’t seem to be winning any honesty points in the court of public opinion which I certainly factor into the overall equation.
Provided of course they are in possession of any to start with. In a private conversation this would be going in a very different direction.
+1 very poor form, and apparently clueless as to how this appears to many people. I received same email yesterday. I've never had any communication with her, and have NO plans to. Obviously she took all contacts from her fathers mailing list.
What would we do, if un-interesting issues as these did not pop-up? A dreary life I am not fond of these marketing techniques, aka 'ambulance chasing'...
I am often confused by the Ferraris-online business anyway. On many occasions, a car has been listed simultaneously for months at a time with Sheehan in CA and at Gullwing in NYC with Peter Kumar. Maybe they have some back and forth relationship but its weird seeing the same car listed in multiple inventories at once.
The Sheehans are becoming dreary. Who cares... The more attention you give, the more 'entitled' they become... And, they are reading this, like a market survey.
Never a fan of ‘Colleen’ - too many tats & her delivery seemed ‘forced’. Tom Yang is way more interesting and entertaining to watch IMHO.[emoji869] She was no Alain de Cadenet that’s for certain. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Independent of anything else, I love Tom Yang’s videos. So fun to watch him think and work through a problem, from first test drive to last.
Why, when you put yourself in the public eye, you gotta roll with the punches. The Ferrari world is a small world. Once upon a time, I got to bend more than one or two elbows with Gerald Rouse. I wish I could remember everything he said, something about reinventing the history of Ferrari, one car at a time. (He was not talking about Mike.)
There is absolutely no planet where you can put Ms. Sheehan, and even closely compare her with Alain de Cad. Not even the same galaxy. You figure it out. Like comparing a street tent in Berkeley to a Chateau in France. Oh My!!!!! Regards, Alberto PS. Enough? Please can this thread. Who cares?
When I watch interviews like this, I can’t help but think no amount of wealth/success/money in the world is worth a permanent rift in the relationship between a father and daughter. Especially, a daughter who closely grew up idolizing her father and was daring enough to venture into a hobby dominated by men. Bronny James will probably never be as good as Lebron James and will be criticized the rest of his life wherever he falls short. Personally, I think it is unfair. More often than not, children seek to follow in the footsteps of parents they idolize to make their parents proud, not necessarily to surpass their parents’ accomplishments. She is still young. She will make mistakes. But these are blank pages for her to fill. Mike wrote his book and it is a great one. Let her write hers and simply hope her own path to success somehow brings them closer, not farther apart in the near future. I know few fathers who don’t want to see their child succeed, even with strong differences on how things should be handled.
Hello Alberto, If you are going to make any shows or videos about these great cars/marques (Ferrari, Lamborghini, Alfa Romeo) - your work product (the show) will naturally be compared with these types of productions - e.g., Victory by Design. For better or otherwise. Enthusiasts - who follow these cars, and know the history will eagerly watch these new productions. So to - will the next generation - particularly guys/gals that are of Ms. Sheehan’s generation. That was really what I was trying to convey in my response. Having watched several of Ms. Sheehan’s YT videos, I naturally compared her videos against these ‘benchmarks’. Yes, one could argue - YT vs. Speed/Speedvision - is it realistic to compare these? Then you run across Tom Yang, or even the gent from Curated (like what he does or otherwise) - and you can see/feel the passion in those folks. You really can’t make that up. I felt - and this is just my opinion - your mileage may vary, that show (Ms. Sheehan) was contrived. I guess, the point was F.O. wanted to sell product. But F.O. - freely ventured into this territory. Ferrari is special, and ‘excellence is expected’ - across the board. [emoji4] BR/Brian. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
