This is like one of my favorite channels now...they got some awesome shows. Anyone else into this? Antony
I think its an awesome channel. I wish I had more time to watch it, but this time of year is generally very busy for me. The discovery wings channel is also great.
They have old quality documentaries I had seen a number of years ago, but they have as well some mediocre new ones not worth watching, IMHO. Only place to see some of my favorite documentaries.
i do the same, but in the opposite order.. ive seen every show on the military at least 53243423423423 times.. and for the person who asked if discovery wings channel is new...no its not, discovery wings channel has just been roled into the military channel. Discovery wings channel was around for a while. Discovery times channel is also very good...
There's a whole slew of "Discovery" channels: History, History International, TLC, Military Channel, etc. But they tend to pick and choose elements of history for melodrama purposes. Don't expect to get a clear view of historical events from their programs.
Actually, that is why I like some of their older documentaries. They have a few "from the other" perspective that I find fascinating. (that other mostly being Soviet Russia)
there is an actual military channel? you don't mean history channel, right? i've been away from the sets for too long.....
Dude, saw this the other day at my friends house (has digital, blah blah everything, etc.). Totally bad ass, they had live footage of an enemy truck getting owned.
The Military channel used to be the Wings (aviation) channel. The Wings content shifted over time to include more military aviation & its history (WW1, WW2, etc). So they decided to just create the Military channel. There was a loss in general aviation topics and content though.
MC is the BOMB! (hehe). I watch it about twice a week when I go to my friends in San Jose. I love it! That AND Wings. Between the two, I feel good about all my tax dollars that goes to the Raytheon's of the world to develop better ways to keep our troops safe. I'd get it at home, but adding it to my basic cable will require a box for EACH TV and that would really suck around my house. 'Go behind the lines'
