The Lotus Elise on your Track Car list is getting a lot of press here lately.

    http://www.puresportscar.com/index.php?s=

The new US FederalS2 should arrive in May. I'm on two wait lists..hoping for one end of summer. It looks like the FederalElise will be 183hp, and just about 1950lb..about the same power-to-weght ratio as the 348. Should be a great ride.

Lots of the buyers have great cars already, but its the first 'exotic' for many. The press pieces keep calling it a "mini- Ferrari"...humm a bit of a stretch.

Why is that a stretch? It's a small, light nimble car with about 1/2 the HP of a Ferrari. A Ferrari is a larger, more powerful nimble car. It IS like a mini-Ferrari. If they called the Honda S2000 that you might take issue, but not an Elise.

First, I love my Ferrari. Always..Always wanted one, now know why. Its killer to drive, the engine runs like a bear , and sounds like a song, the suspension is a rocket ride and it even has a decent interior. I love it.
Ferrari has racing tradition, its Italian, just like all wonderful things and has a great community to keep things working and keep things fun.

I'm looking forward to the Lotus Elise, I know Lotus Engineering does great things for its corporate partners, the corvette, and that all builder use components from best sources. But its not the same, it'll be great and fun and a rocket but its not a Ferrrari. Its a Lotus, a car to make Colin Chapmen proud to be sure, but its a different league.

I've gotten the last 3 sports cars and now with this the husband is rumbling that it's his turn to pick...hope the Elise gets here before he gets anothe p-car.
I just need a bigger garage.

Honda...isnt that a place to fish from in the Keys?

Thats around 900k I would be fine with those 4 cars. Got the best of both a GT,Supercar,Comfortable SUV,fast seadan, Great Cabrio.

I take a million Euro, because i live in germany...

    My actual choice:

Ferrari Enzo Ferrari, rosso/nero (~800.000 Euro aftermarket here in germany)
Ferrari 360 Challenge Stradale, blu tdf/tan (base price 165.000 Euro in germany)

With the 35.000 Euro left i would build a nice home for the tho cars.

If there is another million to spend the garage have to be a little bit bigger:

    Ferrari F50, rosso/nero (~400.000 Euro)
    Ferrari F40, rosso/nero (~230.000 Euro)
    Ferrari 288 GTO, rosso/nero (~250.000 Euro)
and a 550 Barchetta, grigio titan/blu (~200.000 Euro) for the left money and some bucks more.
