Thank you all. It was a fantastic weekend at Mugello track and in Mugello country, with that precious and fantastic old Zagato car. It was the Zagato International Meeting, 13-15 semptember 2013, and that 8V was the best of all. I have tons of pictures, i will post some of them later. ciao

Yes, it was, and even more as the event lasted three days. The Mugello track was just one of the activity we did. The best of all was we joined as guests the Mugello Classico 2013, the vintage Mugello road race. 7 km of mountain roads were closed to allow us to drive at free speed on it like during the road race there was once upon a time on those roads. Here below some pictures before the race in Firenzuola main square. ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
The official book reports 02/01/1956, when Zagato built the body. You know Zagato bought the 25 unsold II series chassis at a smart price.
Thank you very much for your info. I'm not a Zagato expert and i just know half of the life of that car, that means since the last owner bought and restored the car 30 years ago. So that car is a 1953 chassis with a 1956 body? ciao
Attention, this beautiful Fiat 8V Zagato is not the serial number 0078 but the s/n.000083. 0000083 Ex Gianfranco Bonetto, Renzo Cigarini and Franco Lisitano. Below in Sicily with Lisitano PHOTOGALLERY TARGA FLORIO 1964/TARGA FLORIO 1964 - FIAT/168 Fiat 8V F.Lisitano - L.C.Piccolo (4) But you can seen also the excellent work of the expert in italian special cars: John de Boer: Alfa Romeo Bulletin Board & Forums - View Single Post - 1953 Fiat 8V Zagato Otto vu Lisitano also raced with other Fiat 8V.....
Really? My database says that today the #0083 is a DB car in light grey with yellow stripes on the fenders... The #0078 joined to the IX Stella Alpina 1955 (n°178 with the MI274579 plate). Let me know, please.
But the 000083 is a DB !! http://i.ebayimg.com/t/kit-1-43-FIAT-8V-ZAGATO-1953-A-GADIOLI-I-V-MODEL-007-/00/s/NDgwWDYzOQ==/z/TnYAAOxy5QtR8Q6F/$T2eC16V,!zcE9s4g3NSfBR8Q6EmLew~~60_35.JPG At Stella Alpina 1955, the n°178 is Elio Zagato with Fiat 8V,with body Zagato (obviously) and DB,#000084, plate MI 276379. That's it. DB stands for what? So it's a 1953 car as certified by ASI, correct? This car raced several 1000 miglia races, both the true race and the contemporary parade race, correct? so it's the chassis number 0083? I would like to know what car i spent three days into. This specific car has a full aluminium body. thank you very much ciao Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
DB stands for double bubble (doppia gobba sul tetto). Probably the mismatch cames from the cequered decail on the bonnet, my apologies. I'll send you an e-mail with my photos.
