Was visiting friends in the Cobourg area. My friend tells me of a guy who just bought a Ferrari worth a million$$. He is supposed to own a large manufacturing plant there. Can anyone confirm this??
It's about an hour or so drive east of Toronto. Not a big place by any means. Still, anything's possible....... Neil
Million dollar Ferrari? So that narrows it down to a few models: -Enzo -F40 LM (potentially $1 mil) -FXX -F50 GT -288 GTO (I can't remember if that's the exact model name... the one I'm thinking of is the one that looks a bit like the F40 but was produced before the F40 in an extremely limited run) -250 California
Could be possible without a doubt. Moving out for retirement maybe after aquiring some wealth? I have no idea what Cobourg is like but lets see if we get any news on this.
I think you mean the 288 GTO Evoluzione, pretty rare cars. Only 5 around. And there are ONLY 3 F50 GTs in World. I know one of them is owned by a Japanese collector, the other is in Californa, and the last one was for sale in UK a while back, don't know who bought it. I guess the "Million $$ Ferrari" in Cobourg is an Enzo.
It's some small town kid telling tales out of school about a 360 he saw drive through town. Whatever.
You guys would be really surprized at what lurks in the garages of small obscure(<-sp?) towns. Many very wealthy people have second homes in these areas.
Like in Thetford Mines in Quebec... Large car collection (300+) containing some rare Ferraris (F40, F50) and some not so rare.
That is very true. If they see them very rarely it might just have been a newer model they havn't heard of or seen on the streets before and to them it is amillion-dollar Ferrari
Hey no KIDS involved here,, my friend is huge car guy in the area. He's into muscle cars so ya he doesn't know Ferraris other than what I tell him but he does know a lot people in the area. And yes you never know who lives in these small towns.
I know a Ferrari owner in Cobourg, local FCA executive, 360 Modena either silver or titanium. Previously had a 355 if I remember correct. Nice couple. Chris
It's two brothers actually. Owners of a big carpet making company or something. There was a plan for the town to build a car museum for the collection. But that didn't work out. Patrick

Several of these former manufacturers of cars are disappeared little after the depression "It was sold five million cars per annum in 1929 and this figure passed to a million only in 1930! Moreover, to incite people to rather buy new cars than worn, Henry Ford bought the old cars and made them destroy! It is for that which it remains about it if little today ", indicates Michel Demers. And that to say famous Dino Ferrari manufactured at the request of the big shot of the company, Enzo Ferrari, following the death of his/her son Dino. "It is the most required Ferrari in the world, since only 22 specimens were produced, because Dino is deceased at the 22 years age. It was modelled on the body of a woman, because Dino would have died because of a woman ", explains Roger Demers. The Demers family also has a specimen of famous Ferrari F40, the last manufactured before the death of Enzo Ferrari, a car which detailed 350 000 $ but of which all the specimens were sold in advance, so that each one had a value of 1 million $ near the collectors as of its exit of the factory.
