Million Gun Owner March - In DC March 2010

Not really into guns but it does send a message to the Fed's that we're ready to lock and load if pushed too far This isn't the only constitutional thing that we should be fighting for.

And they would do 'what', exactly, if they did? You'd be amazed how civil people can be when they are amongst other citizens who have the equalizing means to defend themselves...think about it. God made man- Samuel Colt made them Equal.

 

I'm a few hundred short, I only have 978,00 guns in the house.

What amendment would you march for?

rethink that....it could go right in so many ways. Poster didn't say marching w/ guns.

I think it was done before but it was in 1928. Not one of the better moments of the US.

 

Well, when the revolutionary war vets went looking for their retirement pay, that's when congress left Philadelphia. They just moved the capital.

Maybe they're looking for an excuse to relocate away from D.C.

It's funny, because the power of 1 million seems to be selective depending on one's argument. Mobilizing that many people for something is impressive to me. But at the same time you hear arguments against things that could benefit the same number of people where 1 million is "Only 1/3 of 1%" of the people.

Not that this isn't necessary, but I thought the gun interest was pretty well represented in DC.

 

This should fizzle. A (supposed) million guys will not trek there for this. They'll rant like hell from wherever they are but there they'll stay!

 

I think this is a great idea, as far as keeping the American dream and the American way alive goes, and showing that the constitution is still preferred over big government socialism.

I don't see why this should go wrong - if they are to take away guns, the founding fathers meant for Americans to fight for their right to own guns. Better dead than red, as they say (or said)...

 

Million Gun March.... I have a feeling it will be a very polite march.

Little known fact: Sarah Palin tried to organize one of these a couple of years ago so the Ruskies would see and get scared!

Agreed. I think a march like this would do some good in this Country, and send the message to Congress/Gov that the NRA isn't the only one in this country concerned with a citizens right to bear arms. Anyone who doubts this should go try to buy some ammo right now. Good luck finding any. Legal citizens that own guns are doing more good for this country than harm by a long shot. It's the illegals or people illegally carrying guns that are the problems. Criminals will never follow laws and never have. Simple really.

 

The website name has been changed to http://www.secondamendmentmarch.com/ This makes more sense to me as there is a negative connotation to some with the name Million Gun March.
