Hearing you complain about $, is like hearing Trump complain about his bankruptcy ;)

I understand, however, I think that with paddles, the automatic would shift like a manual, minus the clutch. I would think that would be a lot of fun. I offered to get my wife the car, but she doesn't like it.

How is it as a daily driver? Somewhat fun to drive? Any issues? I think they look pretty cool.

I do. Its more fun than I thought a car of it's cost could be on a daily basis, mine is an S, yet you will forget any extra power, its that you will go around every corner as fast as you can; you will not want to stop driving. And to top it off, it has a nice burbly exhuast too. I would recommend it to all potential owners. I love it. It is surprisingly practical too, as the hatchback design means you either can have passengers in back, or groceries with the seats down. PM me with any other questions.

I've been driving an 's' daily for about 2 months, and I love it. It's not fast, but it is lots of fun to drive, very peppy, and it doesn't feel like a typical front driver. I probably wouldn't want one if I was going to do a lot of long distance freeway driving, but around town it's a blast.

Thats good to hear some positive reviews. I was thinking of picking up a used one in the near future. So maybe I will keep it on my short list. It would be a daily driver for a little while. Im really not crazy about front wheel drive but this car just seems to have that cool factor and fun to drive handling as well.

I got my mother a Cooper S a while back and it is her daily driver. No issues at all. I've taken it on several road trips and the car is just a hoot to drive. I posted some details in the archives.

One of the 10 most grin-inducing cars I've ever driven.

Resale values seem to be very high. I would consider ordering the one you want brand spanking new. Less quality control issues and full warranty.

Ditto on the S. I don't own but several people I know do.

I wouldn't opt for the 17" rims unless you live south of the mason dixon line.

    A kick to drive too.

All you can say while driving one is ""Yippie!!! When did the roads get so wide!"

Park it anywhere. Even gets smiles from folks when driving in the ghetto.

Probably the best car for urban enviornments to come out well, since the last mini...
