    Hello Paul,
How've you been? I'll be getting one. My friend Tom Tanner from Scale Designs has one he said its quite amazing. No engine but excellent body detail. All those rivets!!!

Thanks- never heard of these people.

Is this their first model car kit? Has anyone ever built one?

Patrice de Conto has certainly been on the 1:43 model scene for a good few years. See: http://www.minidelta.be/gb_presentaion.htm but MiniDelta's venture into large scale kits only started last year.
I picked up on the 1:12 Ferrari 330P3 model from a review article in the February 2004 issue of the French 'Automodelisme' magazine, that was being circulated by some fellow modellers (and P4 enthusiasts). I doubt very much if anybody has managed to build one yet - other than MiniDelta's own 'demonstrator'. I would think one of these kits would take 100's of hours to complete.
By the way, MiniDelta are also producing a 1:8 scale kit of the Ferrari 315S in Mille Miglia trim. See: http://www.minidelta.be/315_gb_menu.htm

    Thanks for the info.

So compared to an MG Models 1:12 scale Ferrari would you say that this is better or more difficult?

Compared to the MG line what you will have is a much more accurate 330P3 body with excellent detail for the body and interior but no motor. Also the retail price for the Minidelta P3 will be about $650.

The MG P4 is about $625 but will have more overall detail, however it will not be as accurate. I have customers having problems putting together the MG models P4 kit. Problems are arising in the suspension areas both front and rear. The engine in the MG kit looks a bit toyish but if you are a decent modeler (and most who are buying this kit are very good builders) you can work the engine to reflect some realism.

If you really have the patience (or you have gone insane) you can cut open the Minidelta P3 and rework the MG P4 engine with some carbs and turn it into a P3 powerplant and drop it in the Minidelta kit.
