Relatively new 488 owner and it seems the parasitic draw on my car isn't as bad as I thought it would be.

My question is what is the minimum voltage required for a cold start? A follow-up question is on average how much should the volt meter drop every week the car sits without a tender.

As I can leave my car sitting in the garage for over a week and when I check the volt meter on the left TFT screen it never drops below 14.0. I was kind of expecting a little bit more of a draw then that (not complaining though!)

I have no access to connect a tender in my condo garage so it would be useful info to know. Even though I prolly will never drive it less than once a week (as what's the point of owning it then)

You’ll see the battery wear out if you don’t leave it on a tender. It’ll recharge each week if you drive it long enough but the charge will drop over time. Better to get some plugs fitted to your garage and put it on tender.

Impossible for me to get a tender... On my maserati just did a DIY battery change as preventative maintenance every 2 years... Atleast with the 488 I can monitor exact volts.

That's why knowing the minimum voltage for cold start is useful knowledge for myself (and I'm sure quite a few others that simply can not connect a tender)

I may still replace battery every two years either way, as it's very inexpensive peace of mind....
