oki doki, which one is the G.O. The mio looks the goods, Nokia is a nokia and bulletproof, The blackberry does everything but tell the weather decisions decisions. I want a phone with GPS, synch's with outlook, takes pickies, plays movies, blah blah, and has a keypad that one can send txt whilst getting bat absorbed in a F car and still drive
cos moretti works there and I've smalt his farts so i reckon the product is a bit suss. dunno why, ran out of room
hey that product is great, wife has one and it has so many functions she will be busy for at least two more releases of iPaqs before she works it all out
Maybe in the past, and Nokia customer service is s/hit [as in none] THE phone of the year is out in 20 days [well for USA and Europe], not sure when for Oz, but does everything and then some, would take me a year to brain it. http://www.apple.com/iphone/ Another piece of genius from Apple, they do it every couple of years Ciao ,M
Actually, only for the USA, not for Europe. Maybe not even for Canada. And, well, it doesn't do everything and then some. It does hardly anything, and then not much more. Let's see, what are some of the things it doesn't do/have: GPS 3G/HSDPA (i.e. even remotely fast mobile data transfer - as far as I can tell, my five year old Nokia 8910 has the same data transfer rate, which is ridiculous) MMS (!!!) Tactile feedback User-replaceable battery User-replaceable SIM, it would seem (!!!) Shall I go on? The iPhone is an iPod Nano with a phone built in. If that's what you want, good luck to you. If you want "THE phone of the year" then I hope that includes a large dose of hype, because that's what people are going to be paying for.
i just got my n-95 and its fantastic ...havnt had any probs with it yet........the camera is amazing...
My n95 is great, pictures are really good almost dont need a proper camera in most cases. lots of useful gadgets, including a barcode reader in case your ever in need... One criticism i have noticed is the microphone is not so great when in loudspeaker mode.
I dont know what half that s/hit is [looks impressive though] and Apple stock will keep rising, all is good.Vodafone will be networking the iphone 4th quarter this year in Europe. As for phones i prefer OHOS, nothing wrong with my Motorola Brick! PS i am not in the market for one, if and when it ever comes to Oz Ciao M
they do it to themselves, the ipod is a failure, the ipod phone will fail, u ever tried getting an idop fixed? Nokia may be **** but apple are a hellova lot worse
Had a bit of a play yesterday [finally] with the Apple i-phone. My cousin, who is a pilot for Qantas, purchased it last week in SantaBarbara CA at a Apple Store, US$399 [Deluxe model, base model is NLA] He got the hacking of the web [It is sold SIM-locked, Google is your friend! LOL] and works perfect with any SIM you put in it. Its a nice phone for a gadget freak, very thin [wide though] with a high quality screen/picture but no light [flash] so no good for me.No need to pound buttons! Note sure when you can buy them in Oz [excl. ebay] but will be a hit, as it was yesterday! Ciao M PS: NFI how you rotate a picture [Using PhotoGadget for compression] Image Unavailable, Please Login
My friend bought an iphone last month. It is hacked and he is currently using it with Helstra. I played with it for abit afew weeks back, the touch screen is pretty cool(compared to my ipaq) and it runs smooth with the graphics like album covers etc. Certainly wouldn't replace my Nokia for it. But talk about the most overrated phone in the history of mobile phones. Apple does have 1 thing, Great BS Marketing ppl.
+1 (but a shiny 1 with white earphones, so it's apparently worth 1billion) I'm hanging out for either the iMate Ultimate 9501 or the E-Ten Glofiish M800, personally - 640x480, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, QWERTY keyboard, noice
Well FWIW I finally picked up my N95 yesterday and have been impressed with it so far - have been alot of problems with the iPhones from what I have heard although I guess that is typical of the first version of most things. Read somewhere of a $30K Nokia Ferrari phone - can't say that one will be on my shopping list.
They said that one was not available yet - I was going to wait because I don't think it is far away but my old phone expired so I just got what they had. Hopefully the new one's not too much better.
FYI: the black model comes with 8gb onboard mem and a bigger battery, and I believe the design is alittle different, I didn't mean just cosmetically SILVERF355: Ahh ok, I believe they are out in Europe/USA...
Close - Nokia calls it Plum (silver on front, sort of purple on the back). Don't know what sort of DH's come up with the ideas for some of these colours/designs.
SILVERF355: Ahh ok, I believe they are out in Europe/USA...[/QUOTE] Yeah that would be right - Nokia's Aust website still said "Coming Soon" when I looked it up - we do tend to get ignored here in OZ
