Hello all, The whole event was a major success, luck brought good weather for almost 100 cars from 15 countries, a wonderful group of people, a visit to Blancpain a very exclusive watch factory on the morning of the Friday, a touring rally through the Jura and Vaud hills then dinner at chateau de Chillon on lake Geneva. Saturday we drove up into the hills above Montreux, incredible roads, I got to ride in a gold Ghibli with a very nice Italian gentleman, we had the regularity stage, a light lunch at la Lecherette in the mountains then drove back down on yet more fabulous roads for the concours on the lakeshore before the gala dinner. Montreux by the lake is a wonderful setting, like being in Como or Sirmione in Italy much further south. The Swiss club led by Peter Straub and Carlotta Wenger did a top notch job so it was just excellent. It was great to meet some of those I had met at my last intl event in Sweden 2010! Carlo, Thank you for posting these photos. It must have been an amazing grouping of Maserati cars. The food I'm sure was nice as well. What about the 100 year meeting? Any details for far away visitors?
My pleasure, it was an amazing day, the weather was just perfect: sunny and 70-75F, perfect air for the engines...lol... Food was excellent as well, I specially liked the light lunch on Saturday, very fun... I did not attend the Saturday night gala dinner where they announced the 2014 MIR, I secretly was informend before hand about the location but am awaiting the answer from friends who attended... Hello again, See the separate thread I just started with the official dates of the 2014 100th Anniversary event to avoid confusion. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/maserati/422803-100th-anniversary-celebrations.html Mir 2013 deserves a thread with detailed coverage while the Centennary celebrations should have one consolidated thread otherwise it will get chaotic.
