    Can anyone tell me if the mirror switch should be lit up when the exterior lights are on?

    Yes,
    I have an 07 and the 4 arrows on the mirror adjustment button light up when the lights are on.

    If the 4 arrows do not illuminate does the entire switch require replacement or can it be repaired to restore that functionality?

    Do only the 4 arrows illuminate or do the L and R selector letters illuminate as well?

    The L and R do not illuminate. They are just silk screened from the factory.

    When we refinish them, we laser etch the L & R.

    I actually did not think the arrows illuminated, I just thought it was a glow in the dark type material.
