The mirror selection and adjustment switch on my car has given up the ghost.

I originally thought that the driver's side mirror was at fault so I purchased a new one (from UK) and fitted but no improvment.

I have taken the switch apart several times and put it back together with no success and let me tell you reassembly is quite a feat.

I have contacted most of the Ferrari parts suppliers worldwide and Ferrari Australia and all advise that this switch is no longer available.

I have accessed the wiring diagram drawing and can see the wiring connection.

There is a very similar switch in the 1989 BMW 635 csi and I figure it possible to maybe fit to the Ferrari.

Has anyone came up with a suitable alternative switch or suggestions?

    Any help gratefully received.

    All the best Tony

think you're on the right track mate. a switch is a switch. seems you just need to figure which wire goes where. shouldn't be too difficult. good luck.

Not sure about the 328, but on my 308 QV, the switch is actually a BMW part. It had the BMW logo on the back, and there was a plastic piece that was apparently cut at the factory. I ended up buying a replacement off E-bay for $15. Works fine....exact part.

I have a 1986 Mondial 3.2. I just replaced the switch myself (LHS). Take the old switch to your local BMW dealer and show it to the oldest parts person there. I believe it is the same as a mid-eighties 5 Series. It costs about $65.00 and it will arrive from Germany in a few days. All you have to do is cut off the extra piece of plastic and you're good to go.

I think you will find the switch is from a 70's BMW 3 series, at least it was for my Mondial QV
