Yeah man, you can’t lose with anything Toyota. A work mate purchased a new 2017 VX 200 series diesel wagon for $92k, drove it to nearly 100,000 km and sold it for $108k March this year lol Another mate purchased a new dual cab 79 series ute for $84k two years ago, has 24,000 km on it now and just sold it for $105k lol I am trying to buy a local 100 series diesel wagon myself to buy/fix/sell because I can make some good money off this car because of the cheap asking price and the strong market for these cars. Drugs much be fetching a good price in your part of the world Papster .... can't get more than $20 a bag here ..... so I'm told
I'll believe it when I see it. https://www.news.com.au/technology/motoring/hitech/mg-cyberster-roadster-likely-for-aussie-roads/news-story/552cfb34b7ebab46662e23d4661db60d
That'd be fanbloodytastic... with a multivalve, multi cammed,V somethinged powered internal combustion engine sitting in it!!!!
Big money for used cars anywhere JM. Anything Toyota always sells for strong money. They aren’t making that V8 diesel in those Cruisers anymore so people are going mad to buy them. My mate sold his VX wagon to a guy in Melbourne and my other mate sold his 79 dual cab to a guy in Brisbane. Those city slickers have big bucks mate lol
Mate!!! Check this out! Family friend owns this 1992 GXL 80 series he purchased new in early 1993. It’s a factory turbo diesel with a manual box and only a few months ago it just hit 50,000 km’s on the clock. I did the 40,000 km service on it around 10 years ago. He is 86 years old and still driving it, but not for much longer he said as he’s not sure if they will give him his license again this year because of his eyesight. I told him 10 years ago that I’ll buy this car off him whenever he’s ready to sell it, so might not be too far away before I am the proud new owner of it lol. Mate that is THE Cruiser to get. Heaps of power, great to drive,it's all proper Tojo,no part Thai/Taiwan/Indian/any other bloody country they make parts for 'em now...just Jap. Have you had a look at what genuine 1HDT's (like my red one) are going for now? Even if he says $50k it's a great buy, especially for you since no servicing will have to get done for the next 10 years!!!!! bwaahaahaa ... I'll Flying Officer now......
Yes sir!! They are asking big bucks! He’s thinking more like $20k He asked me to do 45,000 km and 50,000 km service but I was out of town for 45,000 km years ago and the 50,000 km was when my Mum was in hospital. It’s been well looked after, but I’m not going to service it for another 15 years like my 348. lol
I s'pose if yer Ferrari doesn't draw as much attention as you'd hoped for you could always have a crack at one or two of these little numbers...mind you I think it'd be a little difficult getting a roady for any of 'em: https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/AuctionLots.aspx?smode=0&aid=25652&_ga=2.161100157.137943508.1631490069-1998332766.1615438467
One for Graeme, could be the one I posted a bit ago. Is that an out of town number plate HK? https://www.justcars.com.au/cars-for-sale/1968-renault-r8-gordini-r1135-sedan/JCW5198562
Bit interesting piece on an unknown to most here except Ian on a twin engine pioneer in the US https://velocetoday.com/the-twin-engine-life-of-lou-***eol/
My mate finally took delivery of his Cayman GTS today, after the engine was rebuilt by the dealer locally due to the faulty rod bolt recall. It's a neat little car, makes a rorty noise (when you find the loud exhaust button) and feels like it's quick (hard to tell today on wet suburban roads but Porsche say 0-100 in 3.4 seconds). He says the steering has much more feel than his 911 (992 series). I quite like the colour, not a shouty red but more subdued. Interior is a weakness, lots of hard black plastic and the switchgear is below Golf quality. Different nav screen to a Macan, looks a generation behind. Lovely steering wheel though and the alcantara seats are supportive and grippy. You also get the Chrono pack as standard. Sorry about the photo PP, it was raining and I didn't realise my finger was in the way. Image Unavailable, Please Login
