Never liked the X1/9, deathtrap on wheels, but I think the examples I drove were missing a lot of maintenance

 

Probably, only the X1/9 and a Chrysler something were the only cars to pass the US crash regulations set in 1969.
Yet if you jack a corner you cannot open a door..

 

Great video, I love how he was talking those big numbers at the start of the video.

I also loved it when he put the pedal to the metal.

 

I like that Ben Collins isn't full of himself like most UK testers and it was a treat to hear from Andy Wallace too.

Collins' books are great reads, "The Man In The White Suit" and "How To Drive".

 

I bought "How to Drive" for Troy, don't think it helped him but he has no speeding tickets and oly one accident in 8 years of driving which wasn't his fault

 

Try and convince him to read it again now that he has some years of experience. The central theme is also one you also hear from the likes of Jackie Stewart and Stirling Moss, the importance of being smooth and looking ahead.

My dad was a VERY good driver and NEVER swore or got upset with other drivers EVER!!

Good manners must skip a generation because Troy is like his grandad in temperament .... Neralee doesn't help, she's a hothead

"I own an EV. This is all electric not a hybrid. I bought it for a specific purpose used. It has been an excellent vehicle for me except for the mileage related to the battery capacity. On the rear window is a sticker I had made and it says the following. This vehicle is powered by coal, natural gas and nuclear energy. I actually have had people ask me where do you put in the coal".
