They've been using "tradies utes" with cameras in them for ages here on the GC, AND they park them on the off-ramps of 110 zones that change into 60 exit in the space of 50 metres

Agreed. I think they’ve deliberately left themselves plenty of room for higher performance versions later on.
I’ve already been told it’ll be extremely simple to move it 435hp / 450Nm which is basically Evora430 spec.
That’s plenty, IMO, and we know it’ll handle and steer brilliantly.

There are shops in Europe getting 460 but$$$.
There is a Harrop built Exige with 525 the engine cam phase's on the cams are also RPM limited, apparently

The 400 (406 is the actual) is enough for me, as the torque from the supercharger from 1,500RPM makes it so easy to drive even slow and makes a nice noise.

I will also be interested to see if they have made the gear box quieter. Its triple shaft box made from a US Diesel RAV 4 with Lotus ratios ( more than likely Quafe as is the LSD).
It has two input shafts hense two diff rations, so at low rev's at slow speed as the unloaded shaft makes a chattery sound, I asked was this normal and they said, if it stops making noise call us.

The longstanding problem will pommy kit cars (Lotus, Morgan, etc) is components taken from other manufacturers and applications, which either have compromised performance or reliability.

Makes you appreciate the depth of engineering in most Ferraris.

I love proving you wrong and never expecting an apology so here is another one Ian.
Morgan has NEVER been a kitcar...that is a car assembled from a kit supplied by a manufacturer.
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Morgan_Motor_Company

    Your 'etc' can include:Ginetta,Caterham,Marcos,...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kit_car

Whilst you mention 'components from other manufacturers' consider where many parts of Ferrari have come from since about 1967/8. Fix It Again Tony.

In fact you'd be hard pressed to find any cars that haven't got parts fitted from some other manufacturer.

The only thing ruined was my Bank account with MC fixing the Valve guides/ AC pump Alternator, engine mounts, and then I had to sort fuel pump mounts and head lining falling down. As for the shrunken dash leather, rear self leveling shocks leaking, rattling oil pump chain, I left for the next owner.

    Simon, you haven't proved anything.

A manufacturer makes their own engines, anything else is a kit car in my book.

Morgan has never made an engine, or gearbox for that matter. Lotus made cylinder heads only and not particularly well.

I agree that after FIAT took control of Ferrari they introduced cheap components, which is why a C4 isn't as special as a 365GTC or a Daytona. The ZF 'box in a GT4 or C4 (borrowed from the BMW parts bin) is nowhere near as good as the Ferrari 5 speed in the MK II 330 or 365 GT.

But even so, most Ferraris after 1968 are still better engineered than the pommy "garagistes". Compare a 308 to a Lotus Esprit for just one example.

Are you saying my Lotus is unreliable? I'll have you know that in 25 years of ownership, I've NEVER had to change the bonnet badge...
