LOL. Beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder. I agree it isn't the most beautiful thing in the world but I do think its pretty (and dainty). Having said all that, I do think the 348 is a very attractive thing. So we agree on that one at least. https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1992-ferrari-348-ts-2 This 348 on Collecting Cars looks amazing and on previous attempts, struggled to crack £50K
I could steer you in the right direction regarding English cars of design in ANY decade. But it would be wasted on YOU.

Interesting ....... I just mainly see Alfa 33 Stradale from side and rear and Lotus Elise Gen 1 from the front. Perhaps Jaguar XJ13 with the engine cover. I guess to me, I see it as a quasi Alfa 33 Stradale homage and in a nice metallic red/ruby hue, could be interesting to own. Like Moretti, I think the Alfa 33 Stradale is one of the top 3 most beautiful cars ever and goes right up against a Miura and Dino 246 for the title. Would I really pull the trigger? Probably not. What do you think of the Gordan Murray T.33? Image Unavailable, Please Login
The UK is pretty good for these off beat low volume specials like Ariel, Noble, Ultima and BAC Mono ( I really like those too).
100% Steve. The original McLaren F1 is so much better looking than its successor, the T.50 You can see Gordan Murray was really inspired by the Alfa 33 when he penned the T.33. I think it would look even better in a metallic shade of red or blue or green. Gordan Murray always has been my personal favourite F1 designer/Technical Director (and closely followed by Ferrari designer Mauro Forghieri) and Gordan's list of innovations in F1 is staggering, so I have a natural bias towards his road cars.
Yes, I see all the references, but that is the problem, they are all too obvious and mooshed together. The T33 on the other hand, hangs together as a COMPLETE design. Yes, when you look for the references, you can see them but they are much more subtle and not just copied and ‘stuck on’ like in the Vertige. Actually, the Vertige looks most like a home built T33!
I’m very fond of GM as he named his Fiat 500 as his favourite car and the rear view mirror in the McLaren was copied (in principle) from the 500!
It's a great idea, but not a resolved shape. The biggest eyesore is the tall glass house, especially from the side, with those low doors. And with a little more effort, they could have balanced out the tail.
Lol, indeed. And that is a beautiful colour on that car. If that barely cracked £50K, then it's a sign of what lays ahead for the exotic car market.
