It is Steve but due to this occasionally crippling affliction, my diet’s really clean these days, my weights down, blood pressure under control and I feel pretty good [emoji106]
Get yourself a NutriBullet thing they’re brilliant!, a whole lemon (skin off) bit of water, blend it up add ginger if you like, it’s not particularly pleasant but it ramps the alkaline up in your body but don’t eat anything for at least half an hour after you drink the juice just let it do it’s job [emoji106]
There are tablets out there but they’re powerful anti inflammatory drugs that increase blood pressure, the trick is I’ve found is to stick to a very strict diet and exercise, once your on top of it and free of inflammation and pain stick to the diet and drink plenty of fluids, the rest will sort itself out [emoji106]
I'm on tablets for the last year, I get the odd tingle, exercise swim and walk not overweight . Ta for the advice.
The pH of your blood is extremely tightly controlled. No matter what you eat or drink, the body will buffer it to maintain pH in a very narrow range. Short of writing half a text book, it basically is a function of the kidneys. The pH of the urine can swing wildly, but the pH of the joint fluid will stay within that narrow range. Seafood, especially shellfish, contains large amounts of purine, the metabolites of which include uric acid. Stay away from shellfish, and don't get dehydrated.

So basically proves nothing BTW, if you haven’t already done so, see a specialist Rheumatologist and they can help your GP tailor a treatment plan for you if you have another acute attack. AND if your BP is being mucked around with the meds, you need to see a Renal physician, they are the experts when it comes to managing hypertension
