WTF? I'm guessing this isn't a cars and coffee sort of thing: https://www.lloydsonline.com.au/LotDetails.aspx?smode=0&aid=40152&lid=4177181&pgn=2&pgs=100
I won't put this where you'd expect it as the cops are watching, this from the fatal in Vic yesterday....appears Vic cops are not as lenient as other states: "At 1:40pm yesterday, police intercepted a 29-year-old male driver speeding in a white Mercedes on Labuan Road at Strathmerton and issued him an infringement notice for going 118 kilometres per hour in a 110kph zone."
Interesting how they dropped the speeding bit in, despite that being unrelated to the accident. However I don't see any evidence that excessive speed was the cause of the accident at all. Looks like failing to give way was.
I would say the speeding will form part of a course of conduct when he appears on the dangerous driving cause death
Don't modern cars record a lot of stats in the ECU ? They can't tell if you've run a red light though
In the 2017 HiLux I had it even logged yaw. There was a disclaimer in the owners manual that said something like by using this vehicle you consent to data acquisition parameters being made available to Toyota and law enforcement agencies.
Original report said he was in a 110kph zone hence my post,I copied what was written in the link/ABC piece.....someone got the reporting wrong. Here: https://www.news.com.au/national/victoria/five-dead-in-victorias-worst-crash-in-a-decade/news-story/8c1b05628530bbcf71500fb212715567
