Something not quite right about that car.... 5.9litre?, Fuel Injection in 1976 = US market, no vinyl roof, $22K price guide? It looks gorgeous but it doesn't add up. I have a mate with an Aussie one, looks lovely but the cost to fix the major rust issues in the underbody makes them worthless.
Tony from the GG (with the blue Mustang) has worlds best six cylinder XJC. Old english white, of course.
OK I've got it,it's a re-engine with a 5.9 Chev,....that should make it percotate I'd have thought. Plus check the rear seats of this and compare...they didn't take a snap of the fronts...DOH. https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Jaguar-XJ53-1978/SSE-AD-3172040/?Cr=0
With a fuel injection system that supplies 12cylinders? And JAG cam covers? Fuel injection is correct for 1976 ( i think). Has an aussie compliance plate in the engine bay, so aussie delivered I would assume. Perhaps it was rebuilt and bored out to 5.9l Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yeah,I didn't look at the enginebay pic of the auction car..doh! ..But yes rebore seems the go. ,,,and yep re injection.
Well this is a rare one at an exceptional price and considerably better to drive than a Stag. https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Sunbeam-Harrington-1962/SSE-AD-5474813/?Cr=1
