A word of advice Pat, those Ford/Jaguar derived V8's have plastic cam chain tensioners which break apart, then jam and break the chain. A 20 buck part causes a 20K top end rebuild. Seems to be an age rather than mileage issue. Worth renewing them as preventative maintenance.

And yeah, I saw what he did there. I'm about to repair the flip up screen, which is a Volvo part (13 pounds stg for a couple of plastic cogs), as is the key fob.

I believe it's Ralph Lauren's car. One of the original Le Mans team cars that Bentley brought to Pebble Beach in 2007 - they actually raced them at Laguna Seca. Lots of fascinating original details, like the lap counter on the dashboard made from a billiards scoring counter.

Coincidentally, I exchanged contracts on a car spot in a secure private building in the Melbourne CBD today. They are rare as the proverbial up the "Paris" end of town where my apartment is, so I think this will appeal to quite a few buyers
