Great auction coming up in a few weeks, something for everyone.
This looks hot.
.....and I thought I'd have a crack at this for Moretti...
These look cheeep at their estimate.
Interesting for anyone who's a real car enthusiast and has a brain that functions in 21st century mode
I’d rather a car that runs on whale oil.

Save the whales!
So 1950s Holdens & Fords & others were ahead of their time with Rear Wheel Spats(I think they called them ) Fancy that, Aero on an FJ.
True, but the rest of the car was shaped like a brick. Citroen were probably the first.
Aero wise yes and probably in a lot of other areas as well. Certainly different to drive than the mainstream cars of the day.
That's an understatement! They drove like nothing else really.
I'd argue that the 1934 Chrysler Airflow was the first production car to employ aero principles, but yes, Citroen really pushed the boat out and the DS was probably the most advanced car in the world when it appeared.
You have to be a masochist to own one though...
There has been a DS parking for an age in the underground car park at the Austin Hospital in Melbourne.
Often wondered if it was owned by a masochist nurse.
Well that made moretti excited, as long as the nurse is a man.
Why do you always have to knock a bloke for his hobbies?.....
Anyone know what the problems were with the DSM? On paper, it seemed a perfect solution...
What is a DSM?
Citroen DS derivative with Maserati engine is what I meant - what's the correct name?
In Karen's case? Desperate SadoMasochism
Well that was worth it - admission of error from PP - GOLD!
That's an SM. Beautiful car but all the usual problems. Buy one that someone else has restored, but expect to spend the rest of your life chasing hydraulic leaks.
Thanks! So the Maserati engine solves the power issue, but the general 'glitches' remained?
The engine has to come out for relatively minor issues in any DS model. The moment you break the seals on the multitude of hydraulic fittings, they will leak forever.
The 2.3 injected engine made almost as much power as the Maserati V6, but of course doesn't sound as nice.
