the wanker who writes CTS add copy should be dragged by a towbar somewhere. "the three dimensional representation of the marques racing success in ending Ferrari’s endurance racing domination" Really? Who won LeMans in 1960 and the next 5 years after that? Aston never won it again.
Have you read that magazine I gave you ? Bloody great insight into the Le Mans Ford win from a contemporary perspective
The stuff this girl gets to do and see is pretty awesome. Anyway....the future....poor horse https://www.facebook.com/supercarblondie/videos/1189082311294401/UzpfSTEwMDAwMDMzMTUwNDQwNToyODY4MTU3NTU5OTI0NzUz/
Autonomous and self drive will never mix IMO. Should mean less traffic on the 'normal' roads for fun drives in a Ferrari hopefully
I've always thought they look really good. Actually one of my favourites. Good enough for Rowan Atkinson, good enough for me. Granted the front grill is pretty ordinary.
A couple of question re parts from overseas. In the past I've been bent over by customs when anything arrives with a declared value over $1k. What are the rules now? Has anything changed? And what about the situation I'm about to encounter where I'm sending my interior sticky parts to the US to be fixed. When they send them back how do I ensure that this same thing doesn't happen? I assume it would be wise to get freight insurance on the way back and they have a value over $1k, but obviously they are not parts I've bought overseas, they are my own parts coming back to me. What did others in this situation do?
Hi, I’d forgotten how it worked and had to go through my emails and then realised why I’d purposely forgotten! I sent them via aust post, no insurance (I’m a risk taker) Came back via DHL (they always ping you with customs duty). Had to send a few emails back and forth to DHL explaining what was in the box. They ended up calculating duty and GST based on the work done. $1000 down the drain Can’t find the breakdown on how it was calculated at the moment and not sure I want to find it
That's fuchsed, and exactly what I'm afraid of. How can it be legal to charge you duty and GST to have your own parts returned to you?!
I have and I agree - amazing to read something written when the win was so fresh. btw it was Carroll Shelby who co-drove the AM in '59 with Salvadori.
Maate, when I sent my engine to the US for rebuilding, I got all the customs declarations done first - a bucket load of paperwork. When the engine came back they hit me for GST on the full value, despite me having all the export papers that they'd stamped. I appealed and won, but it was very annoying.
Bloody Hell. That sucks. How that is legal is completely beyond me. Gary, stand by for message and promise of BJ...
As others have said, you are paying the services part of GST. I timed my parts with a conference I had in the US and posted them when I arrived. I then had Dave send the parts to a friend in the US, who then kindly re-posted it on but seemed to have held on to the invoice. He insured it for the maximum USPS would do ($5k) which was different to the declared value and I had no questions asked on arrival.
It was an expensive exercise but the cost was quickly forgotten when I saw result. Still looks as good 2 years down the track.
