Since the Datto's still in the shop and the beater now suggests I paint the rest of the front for an extra $500,due to stonechips on the RH guard and bonnet, I thought I'd ask here how successful those of you who've had cars wrapped is/ Gizz reckons it's the ducks guts and his cars get driven,who else?
Klink I had my 911 done . Whole front, bonnet, both guards, mirrors and A pillars. Cost $1,850 It's money very well spent and I would put it on every car. Be aware however that the cost will increase if there isn't a pattern already cut for that particular model. Then it becomes a one off application. Or you could just put a car bra on the front which would be cheaper. Only downside is you have to take it on and off. Neither will protect you from a 'Roo however.
it's absolutely the ducks guts Simon. I wrapped my Golf from new, did 2 GG's and plenty of fast country miles. After 4 years the wrap was dinged and torn by dozens of stones, but when I was ready to sell the car I simply peeled it off with a hair dryer and the paint underneath was unmarked. Best $1100 I ever spent.
btw Simon wait a couple of months after painting before you put the wrap on. Paint takes a while to fully cure.
I was a bit lucky there BTW,on the way down to the GG I scored a bird on the LHF corner of the bonnet.......the beater included that in the roo quote
...............and behind a line of traffic throwing all sorts at you prior to you pulling out and overtaking @ warp speed whilst a cop comes from the opposite direction??
