Please state where I was incorrect. I'm sure I wasn't the only person on here offered that car and I did my research thoroughly.
What would you like to know about the T70? As Ian made comment ,would not qualify for a historic log book here ....it would however gain one perhaps overseas? The only one here is the one Perry races The T70s have been a mine -field for decades as to correct chassis builds ,and others . The quickest way to pick a fake would be by the cylinder heads being used ? Image Unavailable, Please Login
I knew you'd have the book if anyone did My library is 99% Ferrari .... does anyone else build cars ?
I would have thought, for my .02c,that a 'proper' Lola racing car would have had a more 'interesting' fuel delivery system than 3 little downdraught Webers and may also not have had some of Steve's leftover shields on/in it.
In fact 4x Weber IDAs 48s perhaps drilled out to 50..........very standard for a Chev or a Ford in the period ...plenty of fuel. The big blocks in period would of the norm run 2 x large 4 barrel carbs .
It was a one-off car with a 330 engine installed, intended for road use only. To the best of my knowledge, no real T70 ever raced with a Ferrari engine in period. That's why you couldn't get a historic passport or logbook for this particular car.
Thanx.I reckon it would have been all over Ferrari racing history if there had have been a genuine Lola with a Ferrari comp engine.
