Yep,4 goes at the bloody fuel leak,'king idiot didn't fit a return hose from filler neck to top of tank plus sender cork gasket and pickup fibre washers foiked...all great now. It's got running in oil that's only done about 100 miles, any clues as to how far it needs before putting proper stuff in? Might have to wait until Harv finishes his big drive.
Well it's not as nice as the 330 but that had had a lot of suspension fine tuning 'cos Jim tracked it a lot in his early days of ownership. Horse may know a bit more about that. It's skinnier so ATM I'm getting pendulum cornering effect though very easy to correct but I suspect that's the crap tyres. Seating possy isn't good for me,I'm sort of on top of the wheel. Still learning....
Agreed. Circa 500 miles is good, then about 1000 miles on the next oil. Brad Penn 15W40 would be ideal, lots of ZDDP for your flat tappet cam lobes. https://outlawspeed.com.au/shop/b009-7158
Interesting thanks. I’ve always liked a Series 2, does the cabin get hot? I don’t think I could put up with an OHOS which doesn’t have good AC these days
As a standard car they were mind blowing in the early 60s , but time moved on . You can get 'em to handle well ,with little money spent ...when ready send email to me.
This is a 1 1/2,the difference being it keeps the lovely above rear bar taillights not the erk,IMO, https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1969-jaguar-e-type-22-auto/SSE-AD-6936397/?Cr=0 Has the rocker switches not toggles and I'm not sure what the other differences are..Rob?
You will easily fit into an FHC,I can't,you will also be able to drive with the standard steering wheel. Any car can be retro fitted with A/C,just ask Gizz. And then there's EZ powersteer if you wanted to.
door handles inside outside the norm we all know . But a series 2 is a nice ride if set up ,I'd have one FHC in a flash.
There are three series 2 FHC for sale at the moment my pick would be in light blue one or the green one Shannons have for auction
