Hi Guys, before I start throwing parts at the car thought I’d post my symptoms and codes here.

    Car:
A very ropey crash repaired 2002 360 Manual Spyder

When cold, wait for the normal ‘check ok’ then car starts and clearly running one bank and lumpy then after 4-5 seconds the other bank comes in and then is smoother but still lumpy. At this point car can’t be revved or it dies. After 1-2mins idling car can be revved and doesn’t die.

When idling (some temp or fully to temp) car is missing randomly every second or so.

When driving, car is hesitant low down, to the point I’m riding the clutch to pull away, then pulls very well 2-4k but then will only go past 4k rpm if only using very slight throttle, any more and it’s as if a whole bank has shut off and it bogs down and almost refuses to accelerate.

Unplugging either or both MAFS does nothing.

    Fault codes are:
    ECU14:
P1632 - CAN INTERFACE TIMEOUT ELECTRONIC CLUTCH KUP BANK2
    P1104 - MAF CIRCUIT (HFM) BANK2

    ECU11: No fault codes stored.

One big question I have is why is a MANUAL 360 throwing up what appears to be an Electronic clutch fault code?? Could the wrong ECU have been put in, were they different part numbers etc between F1 and Manual cars?

I don’t know any history of the car so can assume nothing.

    Any help appreciated guys.

    Thanks, Paul

SWITCH the MAFs from side to side. Does the code switch? Change the MAF.

Then.. please consider coil packs disposable with an expiration date of about 5 to 8 years. Get a miss.. replace that bank. Pull the plugs and see if there is any with different ash presentation.
