    Hi,

recently fitted a challenge exhaust and the car now misfires, particularly at low revs, and feels sluggish when changing gear.

My mechanic has asked for help and advice on the best plugs and wires to fit. The car will shortly also have a BMC air filter kit fitted.

I'm assuming the problem is down to plugs and wires, so will start there, but need your advice guys. i'm based in Scotland, so any Uk suppliers for parts most welcome.

Oh, my car is a 1997 355 Spider.

    Cheers
    Doug

Since you have a 97 you are running the Motronic 5.2, which is OBD2. You have two O2 sensors, one before the cat and one after the cat. There may be something wrong with your catalytic converters, or are you even running them? If you are running test pipes I would putting the cats back on and then see how the car runs. If the second O2 sensor is not getting the correct reading from the exhaust gas that can cause problems for you.

Also have your mechanic take a look at the condition of the connectors for the cranks sensors. As for the spark plugs, many guys are running NGK plugs with satisfaction. You can get a set of plug wires from www.kingsborne.com at a decent prices.
