Talk about the wrong question at the wrong time. I don't know how I would've answered either. That's kind of sad.
Could a senator really be that stupid? Oops, sorry, never mind. What happened to the questions about world peace?!?!?!?
she spent too much time making herself look good, but her education level is severely lacking...what a shame
I'm beginning to feel that people that take the citizenship test to get into our country, know more about it than some Americans.
South Carolina: I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because uh some people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh I believe that our education like such as in South Africa and uh the Iraq everywhere like such as and I believe that they should uh our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S. or er should help South Africa it should help the Iraq ding the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future for our children.
spelled right and funny lets just clarify though... i was talking about the australian thing being like flight of the conchords
I don't think I could come up with a worse answer if I tried to. Now imagine if they gave her a hard question
I would have a very hard time answering that question...it so open ended, and badly worded. Using "American" can refer to anyone from North and South America, then notice the difference of referring to the country to locate as the Unite States, making an obvious difference between the two. If she meant people in the United States, she wasn't very clear on "who" the population in question where. It would probably take more than thirty seconds to find out what the actual question is! What I would of done, is taken the "why do you think this is" to refer to the poll itself, that way I wouldn't have American/United States confusion. Odds are, it'd of confused the heck out of the judges.
"What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul." -Billy Madison, care of wwtdd.com
huh? if you're going to nit pick start with yourself. it is generally accepted that "american" refers to someone from the usa just as "australian" refers to a person from the country of australia... not new zealand, figi, new guinea or any other tiny island nation in the continent of australia.
At least she kept smiling through the answer. I would feel bad for her if I knew her, but I am sure she will be fine. She will probably look back on this video clip and laugh in 10 years. While she talks like many young people, at least she has a classy look and a great smile. I would not be ashamed if my kid did something similar in a contest. Too much pressure. BT
