Did anyone see the 1983 Red Euro 308 QV on Ebay 12-24-05? I was interested but had to leave town for holiday and it’s not posted anymore. It was listed out of Beverly Hills. Does anyone have information on the seller, buyer or where the car went? Thnk You

Last time we saw that guy, he was harping about how his car was worth upwards of $45,000. When the board tried to talk some sense into him about how unrealistic his prices were, he bad-mouthed everyone as if no one here had a clue what they were talking about. He hasn't been heard from much since.

His ad seems to target someone who's never seen a Ferrari 308 before. Nice car, though.

    TRistram.......with an "m"......dunno him, an FCA member.........lawyer.

Airbag litigation and spare parts...he's your man.

Search here on the site for the old threads on his car sales for examples of over the top sales descriptions. I'm gonna get him to ghost write mine!

He's also building the 355 engined 328 and wants to race an F40 with it.
Life is good out there on the 'left coast'.......

I'm not sure if that is the same car he was selling earlier, but description is very similar........leather interior upgrades on the rear shelf, oversized tires..

Looks like it SOLD at $29K.......

He calls them 'bubbles in the paint".....see? That's West Coast speak for what us Texan cowboys call RUST...........

was THAT the guy that went on and on about all the money he threw into redoing a 308 and he took great offense that we just couldn't agree with him that he was going to get that out of it and how much it was worth, etc...?

That's him.......I googled him to find him out in California, he's all over Toyota for air bag malfunction litigation.

Strangely though the Southeast FCA guys swear by him for Hi-po parts....headers? or something....

I wouldn't by a cup of coffee from him, but that's just me........

Anybody ever reg'd a Euro car in CA? I just can't see it... He says, "It's a pain in the butt!" at the bottom of the ad, but I wonder if what he really means is "impossible".

I have seen probably 5-10 308's for sale from him, with identical descriptions, but different cars.

Now now Bubba, most of us West Coast guys call it RUST too!
It's just guys with names like Tristram that call it bubbles!
You got those guys too, in Texas, I believe! :)

Thanks for the information gentleman. I think I will steer clear of this guy. Reviewing all of his posts it appears that he has some pretty strange ideas and with all of his building and modifying it might be hard determine what you are getting into. If any of you know of a carbed Euro or US 308 GTS in excellent condition please pass the information this way. I would like to have a carb 308 but I am concerned about my location and the crab set up. IE: I live at 5000 feet and to drive over the Sierras is 9000 feet and down to sea level for CA. Set up for 5000 feet then 9000 will be to rich and sea level way to lean. Any thoughts or experience on this condition?

I searched "TRistram" and couldn't find it. Is that the correct user name?

I can't help you in terms of the carb settings, but there is a Fchatter in the NorCal section with a '77 GTS for sale - PeterS. Best of luck!

Uh, some of us Southeast FCA guys swear AT him... he's put together a nice collection of upgrade parts that he resells (Varishocks, QA-1 speings, Compomotive wheels, Saner Performance anti-roll bars) though all are also available from other sources. He wouldn't honor replacement on a bad set of springs I got from him though the rest of the suspension upgrade parts I got from him were very good.
