    Disappointed :(

was seriously bidding on a Kyosho F40.....but its now up to AU$409.....seller says they retailed at well over $500

so, its currently up to USD$314

original owner and all boxing etc in new condition.

would this be worth paying well beyond my budget for? is it an 'investment' proposition??

only 1hr of the auction to go!!!

I have one, it is BEAUTIFUL.

But can't you still buy a new one for about that?

I payed about $300 for mine if I recall.

I want the F40 Lightweight next, it's even nicer.

    300 for yours new?

so thats a bit under $400AUD, so its already above that

however perhaps theyre cheaper in the states? and i'd have to pay postage too...

I assume theres less of them in Aust too

any opinions appreciated!!! 50 mins to go

The only way of winning on e-bay is to not bid at all until the dying seconds, time it right and you'll be onto a winner.

As for the model being an investment, to be honest i dont think it will be but the other thing is i dont think you'd sell it anyway!

For me, I had the red light weight version and the yellow 1st version, and a red 1st version with APM LM Light tune transkit on. Rather than these Kyosho F40s, I had a 1/12 Fujimi F40 red built too....

Its like plastic or metal add ons for the model to replicate a different spec of car i.e. F50 to F50 GT or Enzo to FXX.

You would receive a whole load of crafted kit which would then have to be somehow joined onto the original model (bumpers/doors/sills/tailgates).

Never done it but it looks a nightmare, I'd rather buy off the shelf and know the quality is tip top!

    Regards,

    Matthew

    Matt,

it's a hobby not nightmare... it's just you don't have the "time" to build it yourself
