    As stated, I have a 1978 308 GTS - F106AE engine. On the left hand side, at cylinder 4, on the lower side of the bank there is a missing wheel that goes on the cam shaft. What is this for?

    The small V-belt that drives the air injection pump goes there -- see page 78 in your 150/78 OM.
