Finally had a chance to run out and take a pic of that location on my Cali. Near as I can tell, just a plastic tab. I was not brave enough to poke or prod it.

Man, that ciocolatto interior looks tastier than a fresh from the oven brownie in that pic!

Same part on a Maserati Ghibli or Quattroporte 2014 and up. Just order it from a Maser dealer for less $.

By the way - have you priced this part at the dealer? You might be pleasantly surprised. I bought bunch of small plastic parts for my Maserati coupe interior once (at the time Maserati-Ferrari was same dealer), and nothing was over $38. Cheapest parts were plastic nut covers around $2.85 each).

What I am saying is that sometimes, small plastic parts can be had cheaper at dealer than even online. They will pull the diagram on monitor and tell you how much it is. In my case I even asked for a discount, the parts guy shrug his shoulders and gave me 15% off. Later on my Maserati logo broke off of my ashtray cover and the Maserati-Ferrari dealer gave it free to me because I visited them three times over a month to get it and they hadn't received the shipment - I was impressed at their generosity. (Kudos Ferrari of Houston)
