Very nice The actual LM that competed at Le Mans or sprayed to look like it? If it's the actual one, where is it these days?
Beautiful 348s. Was the TS offered with optional painted top from the factory, or did owners paint them afterwards?
All TS and GTS models came from the factory with black tops that have a textured finish. The painted tops have been modified by/for an owner at some time. It's not just a case of painting the top deither, the textured finish has to be filled first to create a flat surface.
It's also a non- reversible change unless you buy a new plastic panel. Mine was already painted red when I bought the car so I hunted high and low for an original black plastic surfaced targa. I probably prefer the red but like to be able to return the car to a more original look now and then.
Crap.. I missed you guys Saturday morning. By the time I was able to get up there the place was cleaned out. Did manage to get a shot of my Speciale next to another 348 that happened to be there. Hope that you guys had a good turn out. When is the next event? Hit up the Pavilions show to see what was over there and hang with some friends. Was a good turnout, but sucks that I missed my fellow Italian Brotherhood. Penske C&C is every 3rd Saturday of a month. Never did meet the owner of that black tb, did you? Turn out was great. PM me re the FCA if you like. See ya. Stephen.
I couldn't get up early enough myself! I did stop by the pavilions car show in the afternoon. Was the only F car in a sea of American cars. I actually heard someone say nice NSX. 😒
The only other F-cars that I saw there (aside from my own of course) was a silver California and my buddy brought up his 1984 512BBI. ...and neither one of them look like an NSX. At ALL!
A couple pics of the 'Bushmobile', then Copterjons 'Coptermobile', now it presides with the new owner in Southern Ca. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
