Anyone in this section from Mississippi?? I am fairly new to FerrariChat and will be home visiting from the end of July through the second week of August. It would just be nice to see some Ferraris when I am home.

    TIA

Well - I'm in Alabama, but am going to be in Belgium (Dinant) around the first of August - was hoping to see a few Ferraris myself.

I know there are some Ferrari guys around Jackson - where are you going in Mississippi?

Where are you going to be? I live near Meridian and would be happy to meet you if you are in the area. There are a few in Jackson, but I've only seen one person posting on the boards. If you are going to be near the Gulf Coast, there are a few active FChat members from the New Orleans area too.

    Hello folks,

I will likely spend most of my time around Hattiesburg. I have a brother in Jackson and will go up there for a day or two at some point. I will have to spend a week in Natchez with my mother as that is just obligatory.

I know that I have seen a few 308s in Jackson and even a Daytona convertible clone a few years ago. I heard there was a 360 there recently and saw a CGT last year during my visit.

RFKing the best place to see Ferraris in Belgium is going to be in Brussels of course. Dinant is about an hour from me, I think, I haven driven it in a while though. I dont think you will be too far from Spa Francorchamps, maybe fifty miles or so. I was just there a few weeks ago for Ferrari Days and saw more than 400 or so at one time. It was amazing. It was also my first time to see Enzos (at least 4, maybe a 5th), original Testa Rossa, original GTO, I counted 10 FXXs (although that could be wrong). I am not certain what events are going on during the time you are here. If I was going to be in country I would be more than happy to meet up with you somewhere...seems like we are just trading places for a little while.

Bandit, I love your avatar. I drive a Trans Am (modified), so thats pretty close to my heart seeing the screaming chicken on a Ferrari board. I will try to stay in contact with you and see what my schedule allows. It never fails that I plan something and that gets changed. Maybe I can get away and make the trip up to Meridian.

Thanks for responding and I hope to get to meet each of you at some point.

    Patrick

I don't know if they're still around but I know Ed is. Give Ferari of Atlanta a call and see if they know. FOS was basically Ed's son doing minor services.

Hello everyone, I just joined today and read yall's post about Jackson/Mississippi. Let me first start off by saying Ferrari South is still in operation. It was run by Ed Wettach's (owner of ferrari of atlanta) step-son, Web Wettach. If you want to see a couple of pristine corvettes, help yourself to ferrari south's show floor. As far as ferraris there goes, it is hit or miss. Some days they are there, others they are not: it is simply up to luck seeing as the ones sent there are generally coming from Ferrari of Atlanta for tune ups, etc.....

In Hattiesburg, I know there are some ferraris owned by a couple of doctors....a 355, 360, and a friend of a friend is getting his 430 soon...he has a wonderful collection of cars, gt40 (yellow w/black stripes), 2007 cobra on order, and several more...trust me..

As far as jackson goes, there are more than people tend to think....there are at least 10-12 ferraris ranging from testarossa's to 360's and anywhere in between as well as when Ed's f40, f50 or enzo are in town....there are also other exotics in town, murcielago, carrera gt, gt 40....and many more.....just let me know when you are in town and we can see what we can get in to....

As far as Ed's collection goes, he got rid of most of them in order to afford his enzo, but before his enzo he had 32 ferraris at the same time.....now he has a 360 cs, 430, f40, f50 and enzo-most of the time in atlanta, but on few occasions have been spotted in jack town...hope this helps, sorry its so long, peace!!!

Hello again all and THANKS for the great responses. The more I get to learn and converse with F Chatters the more I appreciate the openness of you guys. I have tried on many occasions to talk to Ferrari owners who have acted as if I was really a bother rather than someone who loved cars.

Anyway, my schedule is shaping up for the next few weeks. I should be in Petal, MS on Monday as my flight lands in New Orleans late Sunday night. Hopefully I will be going up to Jackson sometime that week to visit my brother. I hope to get by FOS just to look around that day or two as well. The next Sunday I will have to drive to Natchez. While I am there I will spend time with my mother and visit some of my local friends. I look forward to getting some good Southern Fried Catfish too.

Does anyone know of any F Chatters or owners in Natchez?

After that I will likely be back in Petal again for a few more days before having to fly back to Belgium.

If there are any of you who would not mind allowing me to photograph your cars while I am home I would really appreciate the opportunity. Please either post here or PM me a day that would be best for you and I will do my absolute best to try to meet up. My invitation stands for anyone who may read this, Ferrari owner or not.

    Thanks again,

    Patrick

I was in Ferrari of Atlanta last summer (2005) and saw one of the first 430 spyders on the show room floor. It was early July when I was there, and it was already sold obviously. Ed only went to the extent of telling me a guy in the Delta of Mississippi had bought it. I have yet to see it or find out who it belongs too. Does anyone have any knowledge as to who this red 430 spyder belongs to???
