    Hi all,
We are experiencing problems with deattaching the doors on my Mistral. It seems the hinges have been both attached with screws and then welded. The door pins are a pain in the a$$, as there is no room to beat them out.

    Any ideas?

Eastwood make some special tools for door hinge pin removal. One looks like a c clamp with a bolt in one end and a hole in the other to push the pin thru. THe other is an offset punch that allows you to use a hammer to break it loose. Heat always helps as they are usually seized by rust

    Thanks Gene!
Tried to heat them up, and they were glowing red, but still no luck.
    Somehow they will come off!

A veteran machinist taught us a trick - heat up the joint, then remove heat and apply a stick of paraffin wax to the junction of the parts. The wax wicks into the joint. It has worked quite a few times for us on parts that had absolutely refused to budge using other methods.
