RM Sotheby's "private sales" has a 4.7 Mistral Spyder listed. It looks good.
And somehow the rear area on the left looks strange. Not just because the rear light is crooked, but in general. But maybe it is also deceptive, due to the crooked rear light.
Early car with the 3500GT style gauges, no center console, no power windows, early style seats with minimal adjustment, and wet style injection. Nice car but would not be my first choice. I prefer the later cars especially because of the dry injection. Ivan
I understand the dry injection is preferable. But this may not always be an option. If I remember correctly Gene O’Gorman (or Gorman) provided a modification for the wet Lucas injection to alleviate some of the issues with the wet injection. Perhaps he will post it again here for owners of wet injection cars to review. I have a copy of it and I liked what I read! Mike
Power Props can modify the wet system to be dry type. SO if the system has been rebuilt by Power Props it may have been converted.
I asked Harm Klijn (PowerProps) if a wet system could be converted to dry and he said NO. That was a couple of years ago, perhaps he figured out a way to do it. Ivan
Ivan I was wrong with my comment that Power props could modify the wet system. The modification was done by Kinsler. I am getting the details now and will respond when I have more information. This change was done about two years ago and the engine has been run but not long term. THe owner did say it was very expensive.
